Ivor regularly appears as an operatic conductor, guesting at venues and festivals such as the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Opéra National de Paris. In December 2009 Ivor made his debut at the Teatro Real Madrid, conducting Janácek’s Jenufa. Following performances of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte at the Bayerische Staatsoper in January 2010 and of Handel’s Tamerlano at the Royal Opera House in March 2010, further international appearances in 2010 include Cadogan Hall in London, the Festpielhaus Baden-Baden in Baden-Baden, the Nationaltheater, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, De Nederlandse Opera, the Wiener Staatsoper and the Kölner Philharmonie.
