Britten’s Gloriana in Madrid!

After last season's resounding success of Benjamin Britten's Billy Budd  http://madanha.ir/aribos/arini/1384 Ivor Bolton will now be conducting one of the least known operas by the composer: Gloriana.  Originally composed in honour of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II this work, dealing with the story of Queen Elizabeth I. Bruckner Cycle in Basel

Last week Ivor Bolton finished his series of Lucio Silla performances at the Teatro Real Madrid. The production has been recorded and will soon be available on DVD. On Sunday evening Ivor celebrated major success with Rossini's Stabat Mater in Toledo. An overwhelming experience!
