Ivor has been the chief conductor of the internationally renowned Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg from 2004 to 2016.
Since 2016 he is conductor laureate.

The orchestra itself was founded in 1841 and regularly features as one of the main ensembles at the annual Salzburg Festival. Ivor has toured internationally with the orchestra and their performances have included an appearance at the BBC Proms in 2006. Ivor has built up an extensive discography with the orchestra including a critically acclaimed series of Bruckner Symphony recordings.
