Ivor Bolton to appear at the Mozart Woche festival 2011

In addition to concerts in Hamburg and Kiel, Ivor Bolton is making two appearances at the Mozart Woche in Salzburg this January. Ivor will appear as the conductor of the Concertus Musicus in the opening concert of the Mozart Woche on 21st January, in a programme of works by Handel and Mozart. This concert will take place in the Haus für Mozart. On 29th January the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg will then join Ivor in a concert of works by Mozart and Heinz Holliger at the Grosser Saal. 27. Salzburg reveals all…

The programme for the 2011 Salzburg Festival has been revealed and Ivor has a considerable involvement. This year's world famous festival, established in 1920, runs from 27th June - 30th August 2011. He has concert performances of a double bill of Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta, with Anna Netrebko and Piotr Beczala on both Monday 15th August and Saturday 20th August. Ivor Bolton tours Germany with the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg

Ivor Bolton and the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg are now embarking upon a tour of Germany.  After the success of his UK tour in November, Ivor will be visiting the Philharmonie Essen, the Rudolf-Oetker-Halle in Bielefeld, Festpielhaus Baden-Baden, the Dresden Frauenkirche in Dresden, and the Graf Zeppelin Haus in Friedrichshafen.  The tour programme will comprise works by Haydn, Mozart and Gluck.  On 8th December Markus Groh will join Ivor Bolton and the Mozarteumorchester in a performance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 in D Minor K466 at Gasteig,...

Ivor Bolton tours the UK with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg

After the 2009/2010 orchestral tours to the US, Southern Germany, Italy and Abu Dhabi, chief conductor Ivor Bolton and the internationally acclaimed Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg will be visiting the UK.  From 17th to the 28th November, Ivor Bolton and the Mozarteum Orchestra will bring Viennese Classicism to concert halls in London, Warwick, Cambridge, Southend, Sheffield, Hull, Carlisle, Middlesborough, Bradford, Llandudno and Cardiff.  In addition to music by Schubert and Schumann, Freddy Kempf will be joining the orchestra as a soloist in performances of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in B flat major....

A busy time for Ivor

Sorry to not be in touch for such a while, but Ivor has been engaged with his exciting but extremely busy schedule.  He has had many highlights, with the main being his deep involvement with the 2010 Salzburg Festival. Ivor conducted the opening night on July 26th as well the weekend matinées with the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra. Upcoming events Ivor is soon to be conducting performances of Wagner’s Flying Dutchman with the Mozarteum Orchestra in the Landes Theatre in Salzburg as well as Mozart’s Magic Flute in Vienna.
