Prometheus in Basel
This week Ivor Bolton is back in Basel with a very special programme
Starting with Gabriel Fauré's Caligula with the excellent Ladies of the Balthasar Neumann Choir, which is only rarely performed, and Shostakovich's Concerto for Piano, Trumpet and String Orchestra No. 1 the audience will then enter the world or myths: Together with the famous actor Peter Simonischek the orchestra will perform excerpts from Beethoven's The Creatures of Prometheus in a text version of Basel author Alain Claude Sulzer.
